Wish List - Skin Care

1, 2, 3, 4, 5

Hey lovelies!

Today I thought I would share with you my skin care wish list after my last skin care post. These are the next five products which I would like to pick up very soon. There is actually a couple more things I want but I'm saving them for later and will probably do another updated wish list once I've bought everything on my current one!

1. Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Gel - If you read my last post then you will be aware that I've started using the Liz Earle Skin Repair Light Moisturiser which I do like but it hasn't really helped with the oiliness of my skin. Obviously I have only been using it for just over a week and will give my skin a proper chance to react to it before coming to a conclusion. However, I've always been someone who likes to use two different moisturisers, one day and one night because I feel like I'm expecting two different outcomes from a moisturiser depending on when I'm applying it; in a day moisturiser I look for it to reduce the oiliness of my skin and in a night moisturiser I look for it to really hydrate and repair my skin. I think that the Liz Earle moisturiser will be great for night time but for my morning moisturiser I would like to try this clinique one. If you have tried this moisturiser before or can recommend a better one for oily skin please do let me know! :)

2. Liz Earle Gentle Face Exfoliator - I know exfoliating your skin is very important but I've always found exfoliators quite dull products so I've usually just used whatever I had lying around. The lady who helped me at Liz Earle also spoke about this exfoliator and even before she had mentioned it, it was a 'maybe' product on my wish list. She said it is basically the same formula as the Cleanse & Polish but with jojoba beads to gently exfoliate the skin. So far I'm in love with my Cleanse & Polish therefore I'm more more convinced that I will also like this product.

 3. Estee Lauder Pore Minimising Skin Refinisher  - With oily skin tends to come along the problem of enlarged pores. I stumbled across this product when I was browsing online and ever since I've just really wanted to try it. However, with a price tag of £38 for a 30ml bottle, I will have to wait until my bank account feels ready to part with thirty eight of its precious pounds!

4. Liz Earle Deep Cleansing Mask - If you read my last post then you will also know that I was given the sample of this product. I've used it twice already and have to say I really like it and therefore my plan is to purchase the full size product once I've used up what's left of my sample.

 5. Nars Pore Refining Primer - Now I know this product isn't technically skin care but I thought I would include it anyway! I've never used a make up primer before but I just think maybe it'll help my make up last longer and reduce the oiliness of my skin during the day; so I thought I would try out a primer and I am really interested in this Nars one as it also claims to reduce the appearance of pores.

Sorry about the wordy post again lovelies nonetheless hope you enjoyed a peak into my wish list. If you have tried any of the products I've mentioned or use ones you feel are better, please drop me a comment!

Liz Earle Haul

Hi lovelies, hope you're all well :)

It's been a tiring week with exams and loads of revision and quite frankly I've been walking around like a zombie for the past week! Hence, after my exam yesterday morning I decided to give myself the afternoon off and during this time I thought what better way to end this week than with some retail therapy ;)

My skin has been extremely bad lately (probably due to all the stress!) and I've been looking to change my skincare routine for the past couple of weeks. After some research, I made a little (I say little but do I mean it?) wish list of all the items I wanted. My wish list consisted of three brands and the majority of the products were from Liz Earle; therefore, I decided to pick up the Liz Earle products first and I will slowly buy the rest of my wish list over the weeks to come.

I went into Liz Earle with the intention to pick up four items from my wish list. The fourth product I wanted to pick up in a travel size as I wanted to give it a try before purchasing a full tube and was anticipating to pay around £5. However, when I was browsing I couldn't spot the smaller tube and thought I would pick it up another time. But when I took my items to the till, the lady behind the counter was lovely and asked if I had five minutes to spare and sat me down and individually went through all the items whilst demonstrating on the back of my hand. She said that I'd picked up the correct products for my skin type but that there was a more economical way of purchasing the things I wanted. She offered me their May skincare package which consisted of all the products I wanted, plus a full size Eyebright, except for £10 less than I was going to initially pay for only the three products! Did it finish there? No, she also said there was one other product she wanted me to try and gave me the small tube of a face mask and two sponges to use with it and yes it was the fourth item I wanted and I received it for free instead of paying £5 for exactly what she gave me!

Now onto the items I actually picked up. Firstly, as most of you would probably predict, I picked up the oh so famous Cleanse & Polish with a pack of two muslin cloths. Then, I picked up the Instant Boost Skin Tonic which may I say smells gorgeous! I also bought the Skin Repair Light Moisturiser and the EyeBright (as previously stated) and the freebie I received was the Deep Cleansing Mask accompanied by two sponges.

I tried out the products last night and I'm super excited to see the results within a couple of weeks time! The lady recommended that I use the face mask once a week and she said the small tube should hopefully last me a month. She asked me to come back around mid June and said that would be the perfect time to introduce the Liz Earle Gentle Face Exfoliator as my skin would have adjusted itself to my new routine. The Liz Earle Exfoliator was already on my wish list and so if these products work out, I'll probably buy the exoliator and the full size face mask next month.

I'm sorry about the length of this post, I don't usually make my posts too wordy as I normally don't have time plus I don't want to bore you guys! However, I know some of you like longer posts and I was super excited and wanted to share my excitement with you lovelies!

If any of you have tried any of the products I bought or have any recommendations for oily skin  then please drop me a comment!

Take care until next time

Mac Studio Fix Fluid

 Hey lovelies!

I'm actually in mid-revision as I write this blog post but I thought I would do a little blogging in my break as I haven't blogged in so long! My study leave started this week and my first exam is tomorrow afternoon and then there are loads more to follow :(

Anyway, I'll stop talking about the boring stuff and get onto the more exciting section...

About a week ago, I picked a new foundation from MAC; the Studio Fix Fluid (my shade is NC30 for reference). I've been using it for a couple of days now but it's way too early to tell you guys what I think. Currently, I'm in the process of completely changing my skincare routine and think this foundation will work better once I've started my new routine. I'm also looking into some foundation primer's and a new setting powder, so hopefully once I get everything together I'll achieve the results I want!

I suppose this was a little pointless post but I guess it could pass as an update! Also, if any of you have this foundation please let me know what products you use alongside it :)

That's it then lovelies,

Take care until next time

Viva Glam Gaga 2

Hello my lovelies, hope you're all well :)

This lipstick has been on my wish list for what seems like forever! I finally picked it up a couple of weeks ago and can safely say that it's definitely worth every penny. It's a gorgeous nude lipstick which I reckon would suit most skin colours and therefore a good staple item to have in your collection.

It's an Amplified Creme finish so it is extremely pigmented. I wear it on top of my MAC Tinted Lip Conditioner in Pink Fish as most matte lipsticks can be quite drying on my lips.

Overall, I love this lipstick and have been wearing it non-stop!

What lipstick have you recently picked up?

Book Haul

Hey lovelies, hope you're all well!

I thought I would post something a little different today; lately, I have been seeing a lot of book hauls and videos on youtube and so I thought I would do a book haul as I've been buying a lot of new books recently.

So here's the books that I have purchased (mainly off amazon.co.uk) over the past two or three weeks...

I usually include a photo of the book(s) I am currently reading or have just read in my 'My week in photos...' post's, so you may have seen one or two before in my blog posts and will see the others again soon. Most of these books I haven't yet read but if you would like any sort of review or any other book related posts please let me know :)

I love reading but with school work and revision it's quite hard to always find time to read. However, I manage to fit in at least half an hour of reading each day, before I go to bed and am always in the search of new books therefore if you have any recommendations leave me a comment!

Take Care
